At the HOP!

  • Where: Helena Civic Center

Its Sock Hop night in Helena!

Are you ready for an evening of family, fun, and Fifties? 

          On March 7th, dig out your letterman jackets and poodle skirts and meet us at the Helena Civic Center for music, dancing, games and food at an event even The Fonz would be proud to attend! Hula hoops and black leather jackets are encouraged! Bring the whole family down and see what’s cookin’ in our silent auction, Jitterbug and Jive on the dancefloor, try your hand at the hula hoop contest, and be the coolest cat on the block in our best-dressed contest!

Tickets: $10 for individuals and $25 for families.

          Buy your tickets now and you’ll be made in the shade. These can be purchased at the door or in advance at the Good Samaritan Thrift Store at: 3067 N Montana Ave in Helena.

          Our Good Samaritan Ministries Staff will be there to bring awareness to our mission and answer your questions about our ministries. If you have additional questions, please call Good Samaritan Ministries at (406) 442-0780.

2025 St. Francis Dinner Donations

This year we raised more than $3,500  while honoring St. Joseph the Carpenter. Thank you to all who joined us for a meal featuring soup & pasta to nourish your body, enlightened discussion on our programs, progress and goals moving forward and collaborative fellowship throughout the evening. All funds raised will be used for renovations of the Good Samaritan Ministries store dock area with necessary upgrades for the safety and productivity of our Assistance Ministry Team! Please come join us. We seek your helping hands.

The work we do is only possible because of donors like you:

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

Neighbors Helping Neighbors is a monthly giving program where your entire donation of just $20 a month is deposited into our Assistance Ministry and is used toward helping those in need.

At Good Samaritan, we never stop fighting for those in need.

From July 1, 2018, to June 30, 2019, through our Assistance Ministry, we assisted 1,124 clients with a total contribution of $217,500.This is because of YOU, our donors, but there are people that still have many needs. For just $240 a year you can help someone out of homelessness and into a stable living situation, acquire clothing, or receive rental assistance.

THROUGH OUR ASSISTANCE MINISTRY, WE ARE ABLE TO PROVIDE PAYMENTS TO MEET BASIC AND EMERGENT NEEDS, INCLUDING:

Financial Assistance Available

  • Rental Assistance (in cases of eviction)
  • Limited Medical Prescriptions
  • Vehicle Repair
  • Gas (for medical appointments only)
  • Eyeglasses
  • Dental
  • Utilities (must go to Energy Share first)
  • Childcare (must go to Childcare Connections first)
  • Treatment Facility Assistance (court-ordered cases)

In-Store Assistance Available

  • Clothing
  • Household Items
  • Diapers and Formula
  • Personal Toiletries
  • Senior and Disability Aid (including walkers and shower chairs, as available)
  • Furniture (NOTE: Furniture appointments can only be made on Mondays for that week. Every Monday, the store manager will assess if the store has available furniture to voucher.)

Since 2010 our organization has helped thousands of people get their lives back, created in the 1980’s our community partnerships connect our clients to additional services and support as they seek to gain stability in their lives.
