Recycling

Picture
Meet Big Bertha- She loves to squash clothes into 1,000 lb bales for recycling!

Each year Good Samaritan Thrift Store recycles thousands of pounds of various items. These items are not sellable because they are torn, dirty, bent, broken, outdated or dangerous, however they are suitable for recycling.

The Store receives between $0.01 and $0.50 a pound on the various items listed above.  The clothing is shipped out in 1,000 pound bales.  Once and sometimes twice a month we send out a semi-truck trailer loaded with 30,000 pounds or more of recycled material!

Proceeds generated from our Recycling Program go to supporting our store and ministry, which helps families and individuals in need.

If you have items you know you would like recycled, you can donate them for that sole purpose! Simple label “BAIL ITEMS or RECYCLABLE” on the box/bag and donate as usual!
Please remember to think of Good Samaritan's recycling program before you throw away and thank you Helena!

PARTNERS IN RECYCLING

Buffalo Exports
“Studies show that billions of pounds of potentially recyclable used clothing and textiles are discarded into our country's landfills each year. Buffalo works with thrift stores, charities, municipalities, recycling centers, schools, religious organizations, etc., in an effort to remove these recyclable materials from the waste stream. Most of these goods are shipped to developing nations with genuine needs that can only afford to purchase inexpensive recycled clothing. This is one of the few businesses in which everyone benefits throughout the process.”

Steel etc
Stell Etc is Central Montana's leader in ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal recycling. Our recycling center processes steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, lead, batteries, radiators, AC condensers, electric motors, transmissions, clean plastic, starters, alternators, cardboard, and more. We pay cash for your scrap metal based on the weight. Containers are available for pick up or delivery. We also buy and recycle junk cars. We work with our customers to assist them in making as much money as possible with their scrap.
