Volunteers make it happen
Every day people come to Good Samaritan and give us their time. From June 2012 to July 2013 we have had over 12,000 volunteer hours and 500 volunteers. We have volunteers through many different agencies! We partner with RSVP, CTI, Helena Pre-Release, Project for Alternative Learning, Helena School District, Local Churches and their youth groups, From the Heart, MT Youth Challenge, Helena Housing Authority, Community Service and Seminary Programs.
VIRTUS or "safe enviroment training" is a program instituted to prevent child sexual abuse in the Church and religious organizations. For risk control, it is a standard of effective protocols, procedures and methods for preventing and responding to risk. The standard requires an organization to demand and enforce "no tolerance" for wrongdoing and open communication channels with employees, volunteers, and others who interact with the organization. When risk is identified, the best practice standard requires the organization to move quickly to eliminate or diminish the risk—fairly, effectively, and professionally

Most volunteer work happens between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some special volunteer projects occurring on weekends and evenings.
