“Anna” is a single mother with one son who lives with her.
In order to make ends meet Anna was working two jobs but she came in to our Assistance Office because she got laid off of her waitressing job. She has been searching for another part time job and has been getting by, but because of the unexpected loss of job, she was now facing an eviction.
With Good Samaritan’s help she was able to get her month’s rent paid and make future arrangements with her Landlord.
Things are looking up for Anna, she has a promising part time job prospect, and she knows the Good Samaritan Ministries is here for her as a safety net when life throws her curveballs!
Lots of exciting changes happening at Good Samaritan Thrift Store this spring! If you haven't been to the store recently, you will be surprised to see some cash register renovation in the works! Once finished, we will update the blog with pictures and details so stay tuned!
A big change will happen to our Thrift Store Half Price Sale starting July 2018.
In July, our half price sale will start on the First Friday of every month (as opposed to the 1st of the month as it is now).
The Half price sale will still be three days, it will run the first Friday through that Sunday.
We hope this change will make it more convenient for our customers, giving that weekends are a more convenient time to come shop at the Thrift Store. Hopefully this will allow more people to take advantage of the 50% off thrift store items!
Thank you Helena for voting us Best Thrift Store five years in a row! It is our hope to continually get better for our loyal and amazing customers! Happy Spring and see you soon at Good Samaritan Thrift Store!
